Tara is the visionary founder of Help Pregnancy Center, established in 1991. Tara’s life mission is to support women facing unplanned pregnancies, and giving them the resources they need to choose life for their precious children. As the guiding force behind the ministry, she oversees operations with an unwavering commitment, ensuring that every mother, father, and baby finds hope and support at the center.

Tara is passionate about educating local churches on their essential role in this mission. She eagerly shares her insights and experiences as a sought-after speaker, reaching church congregations, mission groups, and special events with a message of compassion and hope. 

Under Tara’s leadership, Help Pregnancy Center has grown to reach more women and families, expanding services and resources to meet their needs. Her dedication to this life-saving work, combined with her deep love for each person served, makes her an invaluable leader in the fight for life.

 Anna joined our team in February 2024, helping keep everything (and everyone!) organized so the mission can move forward with clarity and grace. She felt called to this work out of a desire to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Anna loves seeing churches unite to support moms and babies and wants each client to know: You are valued and cared for beyond measure! Even when it doesn’t feel like it. Her favorite verse, Ephesians 2:10, reminds us that we are God’s workmanship, created for a purpose—just like every mom and baby we serve.

Jill has served at Help Pregnancy Center since January 2017, stewarding our finances and operations with integrity and excellence. Simply put, Jill is here because God told her to be—and she answered with a willing heart. She’s witnessed incredible spiritual growth among the team and is encouraged by how God works through each staff member. Her favorite verse, Psalm 96:1-2, reminds us all to sing a new song to the Lord and proclaim His salvation day after day.

Since joining Help Pregnancy Center in October 2022, Maddy has faithfully served behind the scenes to keep our ministry running smoothly. From entering donations to assisting with financial operations, her diligence supports every mom and baby who walks through our doors. Inspired by her own birth story and a deep heart for the unborn, Maddy finds joy in knowing that her work plays a part in giving life to precious babies. Jackie became part of the team in February 2025, bringing with her a lifelong passion for protecting the unborn and caring for moms in need. She coordinates services at our Monroe location, helping ensure that every woman who walks through our doors is seen, heard, and loved. Jackie wants each mom to know: Jesus loves you unconditionally and desires good things for your life. Inspired by Psalm 139:13-16, she rejoices in the truth that each life is fearfully and wonderfully made. In her free time, Jackie enjoys gardening and time at the beach.

Meet Ruth, who began her journey in our Helping Hands department and has recently stepped into the role of Client Service Coordinator in our Spanish-speaking department. With a heart full of love and a deep commitment to the Hispanic community, Ruth plays a vital role in ensuring that Spanish-speaking moms and families receive the care, resources, and support they need. Ruth’s kind and nurturing spirit makes her a blessing to everyone she meets. Her unwavering dedication to life and faith shines through in all that she does, going above and beyond to support moms and babies in their journey.

Alice joined the Help Pregnancy Center team in March 2025 and has been a beautiful blessing ever since. She oversees client care at our Marvin location—planning appointments, welcoming moms, and walking with them through their journey. Alice is driven by her biblical beliefs about life and dignity, and she sees God’s love and restoration daily in the lives of women and babies. Her favorite verse, 1 Corinthians 13:7, reflects her heart for bearing with others in love and hope. She shares, “I feel incredibly honored to be part of the work God is doing through this ministry.”

Since 2019, Jeannean has served on the frontlines at Help Pregnancy Center, welcoming clients and supporting them through administrative care and counseling. Her heart for this ministry grew out of a desire to help women who are considering abortion see a different path—one filled with hope and life. She loves being part of a Christ-centered team and wants every mom to know that Jesus is your Savior and He sees you right where you are. Her favorite scripture, Isaiah 40:31, reminds us that those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.

Vandy joined the team in March 2023 and now serves as our Circle of Care Case Manager, offering extra support to clients navigating more complex situations. Her work is fueled by personal experience: a close family member nearly had an abortion. Now, Vandy helps women see that their children are blessings from the Lord. She cherishes being surrounded by women of faith who share the same mission. One of her favorite quotes reminds her: Sometimes God gives us more than we can handle—so that we learn to depend on Him.

Lisa’s journey with Help Pregnancy Center began in 2004 as a volunteer receptionist, and her faithful heart has only grown since then. Now as Office Manager, she’s often the first smiling face our clients see, coordinating appointments and offering help with kindness. Lisa was first inspired to serve by her father-in-law, and today, she continues out of a deep love for God and the unborn. She wants each mom to know: You are valued and LOVED. Her life verse, 1 Corinthians 13:13, reflects the faith, hope, and love she brings to this ministry.

Rebekah began her journey as a volunteer in October 2020 and joined the staff in January 2023. Now serving as Development Director, she oversees events, partner relationships, and fundraising efforts that help ensure our clients receive the care, support, and resources they need to thrive. Having once been a client herself, Rebekah experienced firsthand the love, dignity, and life-affirming care this ministry offers. In that season, she felt a calling to one day give back—and today she joyfully pours her God-given gifts into Kingdom work that blesses families across our community. Rebekah is continually encouraged by the ways God is growing the ministry’s reach and favor, even in a challenging world. Her heart is to remind every mom that she is not alone, that she can do hard things, and that God’s plan brings hope and direction. Her favorite verse, Micah 6:8, guides her daily as she seeks to walk humbly, act justly, and love mercy.

Allow us to introduce Sue, a remarkable and cherished member of the Help Pregnancy for over two decades. With unwavering dedication, she serves as the heart and soul of our Helping Hands Clothing Ministry, leaving a lasting impact on all who come through our doors.

As the face, hands, and feet of this vital ministry, Sue and her team work tirelessly to coordinate, organize, and prepare all the donated supplies to be distributed to our clients. Her meticulous attention to detail ensures that each item is ready to bless those in need. She fills orders with care and compassion, recognizing the significance of what these supplies mean to those we serve. Her commitment to keeping detailed records reflects her deep commitment to serving others with excellence.

Her humble attitude shines through as she attributes all provision to “Our Provider,” acknowledging the blessings that allow us to carry out our mission. To our ministry, Sue is undoubtedly a gift, a true blessing. Her unwavering faith and stewardship unto the Lord inspire us all to follow her example. Cheryl began volunteering in April 2024 and quickly became a vital part of the team. As a Helping Hands Assistant, she organizes donations so moms and babies receive the resources they need—from clothing to supplies and beyond. Her heart for this ministry comes from a lifelong love for babies and expecting moms. Cheryl wants every woman who walks through our doors to know: You are so precious to Jesus, and you matter. Her favorite verse, Luke 6:45b, reminds her that our words and actions reflect the love overflowing from our hearts—and she strives to pour out that love every day.

Becky joined Help Pregnancy Center in March 2025 and serves moms through compassionate, life-affirming ultrasound care. She brings years of experience as an RN and a heart that beats for both moms and their babies. Becky sees God’s hand at work in every story of hope and redemption. Her favorite verse, Matthew 25:40, reminds her that when we serve “the least of these,” we’re serving Jesus Himself. When she’s not working, she loves spending time with her husband, and their kids, or exploring local antique stores.

Introducing Monica, a dedicated and compassionate member of our team who joined us as a volunteer in February 2022 then joined our staff in December of the same year. Since then, Monica has played a crucial role in launching the Indian Trail satellite office, and now our Marvin satellite as well. As Monica serves, she finds inspiration in the words of 2 Timothy 1:8-9“…but share in suffering for the gospel by the power of God, who saved us and called us to a holy calling, not because of our works but because of his own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began…” Her dedication to this mission, coupled with her expertise and loving spirit, makes her a true blessing to our organization and the community we serve.

Juli first volunteered with Help Pregnancy Center in 2022 and officially joined the team as a staff member in May 2024. She performs ultrasounds at the Indian Trail location and on our Mobile Unit, offering moms a glimpse of the precious life growing inside them. Her deep belief that God is the author and sustainer of life is the heartbeat of her work. She cherishes witnessing lives changed and saved. Juli’s favorite verse is Psalm 113:9: “He settles the childless woman in her home as a happy mother of children.” Married to her best friend and a mom to 5 adopted children, Juli brings both professional skill and personal warmth to every client interaction.
