Who We Are [OLD]

Vision Statement:

“The H.E.L.P. Pregnancy Center exists to represent the voice of the UNBORN child. In Ezekiel 33:1-9, the Lord commands us to sound the alarm. We are to be the watchmen standing on the post warning the people. We are to be the voice of God in the earth. In the natural realm we do NOT hear an audible cry from these babies as they are prematurely ripped from the God-given sanctuary of their mother’s womb. This ministry is called to be a light in the darkness. In John 15:5, the Lord says we can do nothing apart from Him; we are to abide in Him. We realize that apart from His work, our work is in vain. As a result, He is our foundation, and we rely on Him to be our chief cornerstone.

“We also feel called to extend the arm of the Lord to offer hope and healing to the Post-Abortive Woman. In Luke 4:18, the Lord says He has come to heal the brokenhearted. We see that there are two victims when it comes to abortion: the woman and the child. The last, but of most important call, is to share the gospel with all who enter our doors. The Lord commanded in the great commission, Matthew 28:19, to reach all nations for Him. We must reach them with the truth about abortion, healing and restoration, and evangelism. This ministry embraces the Truth (JESUS) to uphold the Sanctity of Human Life.”

Our Foundation:

Foundation Brick #1

A belief in the personal infinite God as revealed in His written Word, the Bible, and the Living Word – the Lord Jesus Christ which is the basis for the worth of every individual since all are created in His image despite the circumstances of conception, and all are the objects of His love as Christ died for all despite our rebellion and sin. (John 1:1-14 and Psalm 139:13-18)

Foundation Brick #2

The HPC (H.E.L.P Pregnancy Center) exists primarily to put God on display. The HPC is an extension of God’s presence in the community of need, and expression of Christ’s character to a lost world and an exhibition of the Spirit’s power to meet the needs of those who trust and obey out of a “broken and contrite heart.” (Matthew 5:16)

Foundation Brick #3

Involvement with HPC is not so much out of a commitment to the pro-life cause, as good as that may be, but out of commitment to the Lordship of Christ and to love hurting people through Him. Therefore every HPC counselor should know the call of God and be committed to living a pure personal life consistent with God’s Word with their greatest desire to be like Christ and make Him known to others. (Romans 12:1-2)

Foundation Brick #4

The HPC exists to give the counselors the opportunity to learn deeper depth of God’s love to those whom we serve. Our first and primary concern is for the birth mother, to be available to her as long as she needs us. We are committed to demonstrating an unconditional love toward all the women regardless of race, religion, lifestyle, or those who forsake our counsel and obtain an abortion. (Philippians 2:3-8)

Foundation Brick #5

The HPC is an evangelistic arm of the local church with all counseling services based upon the authority of God’s Word. We are committed to holistic ministry in meeting the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs those we serve. Therefore, every counselor should be equipped to share the Gospel message of salvation and discipleship as opportunity arises. (Timothy 4:1-2)

Foundation Brick #6

The effective HPC is birthed by God through prayer and will be sustained by God through prayer. Truly “our Struggles is not against flesh and blood, but against rulers, against the powers, against the world-forces of the darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the full armor of God that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything to stand firm.” Prayer and spiritual warfare are a priority at HPC and for all counselors and volunteers. (Ephesians 6:10-20)

Foundation Brick #7

The HPC is committed to family ministry I the following ways:

  1. Upholding the sanctity of marriage according to God’s principles (Matthew 19:3-6)
  2. Promoting moral purity and sexual abstinence before marriage. (1 Thessalonians 4:2-8)
  3. Respecting parental authority in the lives of the girls we serve with a goal to minister to the entire family. (Colossians 3:18-21 and Malachi 4:6)

Foundation Brick #8

Since volunteers from various churches and denominations often man most of HPC positions there must be a strong commitment to “keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.” All staff and volunteers, for the sake of harmony, should lay aside differences that could create strife and should defer to the policies and wishes of the Board of Directors or the Executive Director of HPC. (Ephesians 4:1-6)

Foundation Brick #9

“God’s work done in His way will never lack His provision.” There can be many different methods in raising financial support for HPC but regardless of our method, our trust and dependence must be upon God alone. Praise Jehovah-Jireh!!! (Philippians 4:19)

Foundation Brick #10

The HPC does not accept the philosophy that the end justifies the means. Since our primary end is to put God on display, every aspect of the work must be carried out consistent with God’s Holy character of truth and love. There is absolutely no place for the use of deception or falsehood in our lives or at the Center. Lying and deception will never be condoned as acceptable practices in order to get women into HPC through advertising, telephone procedures, or any other means. (1 Thessalonians 2:3-4)
